Refurbishment meets system solution - Hawle BAIO® impresses in Ruppichteroth

Common

A defective gate valve cross from the 1960s was recently replaced with a new Hawle BAIO® gate valve cross at Gemeindewerke Ruppichteroth GmbH.

The construction site was realised by Günther & Schwartz Rohrleitungsbau GmbH from Hennef. Due to the existing broadband cabling in the pipe trench, no shoring could be used, so the excavation pit was made wider and sloped.

The DN 250 gate valve cross was assembled on site, lifted into the pipe trench as a whole and connected to the existing pipe with the installation socket pieces. Finally, the two free-flow underground hydrants and the three telescopic installation fittings were installed.

The BAIO® system stands for

  • Simple and time-saving installation
  • Small number of components and connections
  • push-in socket connections that can be angled on all sides
  • stress-free installation condition
  • integral corrosion protection for a long service life of the system

We are delighted that the municipal utilities have chosen Hawle, as Hawle Treppenlifte GmbH is based in the municipality of Ruppichteroth, which is located in the Rhein-Sieg district in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia.
