The Hawle head stock can be used for the above-ground actuation of valves installed in the ground, in manholes, or in valve chambers. Connection to the valve is established via the telescopic extension spindle (Ord. No. 952-00). For mounting the head stock on the extension spindle no additional pinning of components is required. Thus, the Hawle head stock in combination with the telescopic extension spindle (Ord. No. 952-00) makes installation and/or dismantling on site easy and time-saving.
The head stock can be quickly dismantled later if required, and the extension spindle can be lowered to below ground level. The space thus becoming available can be used for construction work nearby, for example, which helps to avoid consequential damage to the head stock and the extension spindle.
Due to the position indicator available as an option, the respective degee of opening of the valve (opened / closed) can be indicated. Visualization is effected via a sliding ring installed at the standpipe which is magnetically coupled with an inside mechanism and moves along the standpipe when the head stock is actuated.
The coloured labelling mounted at the standpipe indicates the status of the valve (opened / closed). The comfortable working height (940 mm) ensures an ergonomic actuation of the head stock by means of the handwheel. The head stock can be used for the following valves:
