Check valves serve the purpose of protecting equipment (e.g. pumps).
The check valve opens automatically in case of flow in the direction of the arrow (valve body) and closes automatically in case of a flow against the direction of the arrow.
The check valve is designed for installation in horizontal pipelines. Installation in inclined or vertical pipelines is permitted only if the medium flows from bottom to top. Care shall be taken that the flow direction coincides with the direction of the arrow at the body, and that the rotating axis of the disc is in the horizontal plane.
