Hawle Hybrid Slide Cap Rollable with Plastic Base Cap and Cast Pull Ring/Lid

The Hawle hybrid gate valve surface box for rolling in combines two different materials to create a very practical, reliable solution for bituminous traffic areas. The use of plastic offers the advantage of good form stability and low weight, which substantially facilitates installation. In the patented version with flexible spring elements in the bottom part of the surface box, the drawing ring is held in position during installation, thus preventing unintentional sagging.

The Hawle gate valve surface box consists of a plastic base box as well as a drawing ring and cover made of cast iron. The base box holds flexible spring Elements for controlled height adjustment.

The cover is powder-coated to prevent contact corrosion between the cover and the drawing ring, on the one hand, and to ensure easy detachment of the cover, on the other hand. The cover and the drawing ring are joined by means of a locking bolt with a cotter pin and a washer. Compared to conventional Surface boxes, the angled seat of the cover and drawing ring reduces the tendency of the cover to rattle. In addition, it prevents the cover from becoming stuck.
