Hawle water meter chamber

The Hawle water meter chamber has been developed for installation in water service connections and is especially suitable for new buildings or refurbishing. The Hawle water meter chamber can be used where access to buildings is restricted or impossible because of the local conditions. This may be the case, for example, when there are no cellar rooms, or when no straps for water meter connection sets can be applied for lack of space. Moreover, the Hawle water meter chamber reliably seals against pressing ground water or flood water. The Hawle shut-off valve integrated in the water meter chamber has been provided with the proven Hawle ZAK® system.

Additionally, the innovative connection technology allows the time-saving and hygienic installation and dismantling of the Hawle water meter set. At the same time, the sealing cone integrated in the Hawle shut-off valve between the Hawle water meter set and the potable water pipe prevents water from flowing into the shaft under operating pressure and/or dirt from being carried in during dismantling the Hawle water meter set. Due to the tapered design of the Hawle shut-off valve, sensitivity to dirt is reduced to a minimum. Moreover, the Hawle water meter set can be operated with commercial analogue and digital water meters (Q3 = 2.5 - 4). When digital water meters are used, the operating company can conveniently read out the values by means of remote metering devices. (The water meters must be provided by operating company). The Hawle water meter chamber is available with pipe cover depths 1.0 m, 1.25 m and 1.50 m and with the two outlet variants ZAK 46 or PE pipe d 40. By means of the Hawle water meter manhole cover available separately (Ord. No. 205-01), a height compensation of 0 - 30 cm is possible during installation. The Hawle water meter manhole cover is able to withstand a load of 12.5 t (B 125).
