SM-fitting with PE end - BAIO® system

In horizontal installations, the spigot socket fitting with PE end serves as transition fitting from the BAIO® system to PE pipes by means of welding technology. In vertical installations the SM-fitting can be used for welding into electrofusion sockets (e.g. as transition fitting from duckfoot bends with electrofusion socket on hydrants with BAIO® spigot end).

With one PE fusion end, and with one BAIO® double function socket for the restraint connection with BAIO® spigot ends and for connecting DCI, steel, PE and PVC pipes.

Gaskets for the medium water:
DCI pipes: BLD® gasket (standard)
PE/PVC pipes: GKS gasket Ord.-No. 529-01

Gaskets for the medium gas:
DCI pipe gasket gas Ord.-No. 529-03G or GKS gasket gas Ord.-No. 529-01G (PVC pipe, 5 bar).

Factory preinstalled BAIO® lip gasket (BLD®) for DCI pipes

When PE or PVC pipes are connected, a surcharge for GKS gaskets must be considered.

When used in gas applications, note the additional price for the gas seal.

When PE pipes are connected a support liner shall be used.
